Listen to your child!! I have learned my 18 month old knows far more than I give her credit for. For instance, if she tells me she isn’t hungry, she is not going to eat, no matter what I give her
And- if she tells me she doesn’t want to wear something, don’t put it on her, because she’ll keep asking for whatever she wanted to wear all day!
When making Rice Krispies, pour the mixture into a cake pan lined with parchment paper. Spray your spatula with Pam to keep it from sticking as you flatten it out in the pan.
THEN..when it’s cool, pull up with the paper and set on counter. Cut into squares with pizza cutter, then put paper & squares back in pan for serving!
Ok that’s like 5 tips teehee!
to help remember when her pictures were taken, i make address labels with my daughter’s stats (name, age, weight, date) and apply to the back of the picture. this way family, friends, and us can easily remember when the picture was taken. it has been so helpful and appreciated by all who got pictures of her. you do not have to worry about the ink rubbing off, smearing, or leaking onto the photo.
i also put the labels on the pictures that we frame so i always remember when the picture was taken. this will come in handy now that we just added our son to our family!
I love to cook so I have two handy tips that I’d like to share:
1. When cutting raw chicken I use a plastic place mat (that is only used for this purpose) because it makes it very easy to wash and sanitize as opposed to a wood cutting board where the juices can seep in.
2. To dispose of leftover oils after frying I use a clean empty margarine container to pour it into – when it’s full I throw it out. Never pour oil into your sink as it will cause your pipes to clog over time.
I hope you liked these tips and will try them out! I have a lot more where that came from!

Lead by Example.
When my then three year old wouldn’t stop lying–I spent the day taking him on adventures he’d dreamed of doing–the zoo, ice cream, the water park. As we got to the counter to purchase the tickets I’d say, “We’re not doing this?” His heart broken he’d cry, “But you said.” Which was the perfect opening to, “I know I did. But I lied.” It was appropriate and gave him pause for thought. At the end of the journey he said, “I don’t like when you lie.” and we were able to discuss the effects of lying. He never lied to me again.

My tip is in the laundry room: I have 6 kids, so laundry is huge in our home! I have 3 of those 3-section laundry bins in my laundry room. As I take stuff out of the dryer, I sort into the bags (labeled with each person’s name + 1 for linen). It makes it a lot easier to bring each bag into the right room and put it away!
Mommy Tips for staying organized – Finding time to spend with your children, household duties, still make meals on time and get a supper out to the field for your husband who is harvesting, takes organization.
I like to make lists of things that need to be done by charting out my week ahead of time and having the small things done far in advance, whether it me making meals and freezing them, grocery shopping, laying out clothes for the next day, packing back packs for school the following day etc. Knowing what needs to be done prior to the time coming makes it a lot easier for me to stay organized so I can still sit down and play a game of cards with my son (which is much more relaxing than doing laundry).
