Top 20 mom – isms–Things your mom always said that you now find yourself saying:

Remember when you were young and your mom would say things  you promised yourself never to repeat to your own kids? Well, there was a reason why she would say those things and now that you are in the same position you find yourself repeating those same words!

Here are a few examples I have heard throughout the years and now sometimes repeat:

1. Why? Because I SAID so, that’s why!
2. Do you think I’m made of money?
3. So what if Bob’s mom let him do it? If Bob’s mom let him jump off the Empire State Building, would you want me to let you do it too?
4. You WILL eat it, and you WILL like it!
5. A little “birdie” told me!
6. You can’t find it? Well, where did you leave it last?
7. Who taught you THAT? You didn’t learn that in this house!
8. When I was your age, I had to walk ten miles through the snow, uphill, by myself, to go to school.
9. You don’t always get what you want. It’s a hard lesson, but you might as well learn it now.
10. You’d forget your head if it wasn’t attached to your shoulders.
11. Your father is going to hear about this when HE gets home!
12. You’re the eldest. You should know better.
13. All I do is follow you around, picking up after you like some maid.
14. So it’s raining? You’re not sugar — you won’t melt.
15. I brought you into this world, and I can take you right back out!
16. What part of NO don’t you understand?
17. Who do you think you’re talking to?
18. You’ll understand when you’re older.
19. A little soap & water never killed anybody.
20. I will always love you – no matter what.
